RED MOON OVER VENUS

By Roland E. Williams

Who appointed you to be my killer?

Did I ask you to find me a savior?

There’s a red moon rising over Venus

Ever since you killed your throbbing fetus

Your mother said she could have done so too

Then, for conceiving a killer like you

Now all she can do is pray all night long

And wonder how she could have gone so wrong
